3rd Grade

All 3rd graders have individual Seesaw STEM notebooks! Use and iPad & QR code to view all of the pictures, videos, and reflections that these scientists and engineers worked so hard to create with their classmates! All the videos that are linked below are posted each student's Seesaw account.

Life Science
Heredity & Traits

Scientists learned how the traits from animals and plants are passed down from parents to their offspring. They created a puppy based upon the traits inherited from their parent dogs. Given a set of criteria and constraints, that included the use of both recycled and new materials, engineers worked in pairs to plan and construct their puppies! Check our their Seesaw account to see what else their puppy can do!

Computer Science
Building & Coding

Programmers first built different robots with their partners. Then, they coded their robots to complete various tasks such as: changing colors, moving, sensing motion and/or playing sound. Watch the video on the right to take a look at their first day of exploration!
